Paediatric Airway · Ages 3-12
Snoring, mouth breathing, crowded teeth, and restless sleep are often treated as “just a phase.” They may not be. We assess how breathing, sleep, and jaw growth connect, and guide development while your child is still growing.

A child’s breathing and sleep can influence facial growth, jaw development, dental crowding, behaviour, energy, and overall well-being. When airflow is strained early in life, the effects can quietly follow a child for years.
Interceptive orthodontics does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. Instead, it looks at how oral and facial growth relate to breathing, sleep, function, and dental development, so concerns can be identified while a child is still growing, when guidance is often simpler and more effective.
Why Early Evaluation Matters
During these years the jaws, palate, airway, bite, and facial structures are still developing, an important opportunity to identify patterns that may contribute to:
Breathing through the mouth day or night, often with lips apart at rest.
Snoring, restless nights, frequent waking, or waking unrefreshed.
Crowded or overlapping teeth, crossbite, open bite, underbite, or deep bite.
A narrow upper jaw or high palate, or a small-looking lower jaw.
Difficulty chewing, swallowing, or speaking clearly.
Daytime fatigue, irritability, or difficulty focusing and sitting still.
Every child is different. Our goal is not to treat every child early, it’s to identify the children who may benefit from timely guidance.
What to Expect
Your child’s visit is calm, unhurried, and built around understanding the whole picture. Depending on their age and needs, it may include an evaluation of:
