Dr. Sepehr Jafarpour, Founder of Root Cause Dental Group

Dr. Sepehr Jafarpour

Dr. Sep founded Root Cause Dental Group on a single conviction: that lasting relief comes from treating the source of a problem, not just its symptoms. His approach always begins with “why.” It’s a philosophy that continues to shape how our whole team works, taking time to understand each patient’s unique situation, goals, and concerns before building a plan that fits, and empowering patients to take an active part in their treatment planning and long-term care.

Before pursuing dentistry, Dr. Sep earned a Master of Science in Biostatistics from the University of Toronto, followed by his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Dentistry. During his studies, he received the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award and was recognized for his dedication to academic excellence.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Sep loves outdoor sports and adventures, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

Dr. Lisa Popp

Over her 30-year career, Dr. Lisa has been committed to continuous growth, fueling her passion for practicing ROOT CAUSE dentistry. A deep dissatisfaction with merely treating the symptoms of disease, and a desire to help her patients in a more meaningful way, led her to join Root Cause Dental Group, where she focuses on addressing the underlying causes of airway, sleep, and TMJ disorders.

Originally from Dorchester, Ontario, Dr. Lisa now lives in London with her husband and three children. She earned a BSc Honours Genetics (1993) and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (1997) from the University of Western Ontario, where she received several awards and scholarships. Continuing education and certifications in nutrition, functional medicine, functional genomics, and airway dentistry shape her holistic approach.

Outside the office, Dr. Lisa enjoys reading, travelling, and spending time with her family.
